Photo Session

Our friend Shanda Lyman took these photos for us. I'm so glad we have them. I want some framed on the wall so we'll always remember our good times in Memphis.

The Home Team has a Chick Day at the Mall

My friend Gianetta needed a chick day at the mall. So did I! I've been sweating about the house all week, showing it to realtors and busting my brain trying to figure out how not to lose money on the sale.
We went to Bath and Body and then we treated the kids to a Southern favorite: Chick-fil-a. Then we let them work off some energy on the playground.
Check out this picture of Trace. He always has at least a half smile on his face. O.k., o.k. when he's not screaming. He has been a bit grumpy lately has he's been getting his complete collection of teeth. But in general, he has the most pleasant disposition. He brings so much joy to my life.

The Home Team Goes to the Zoo

This is my home team: Jack and Trace. And I have to say they are pretty delightful people. There's not too much competition between them so most of the time they have a great time making up games and making each other laugh.
We were running some early errands around town last week and Jack said, "I'm bored Mom, let's go to the zoo." The weather has finally been warming up, and it's so rare that my homebody boys actually ask for an outing so I couldn't resist! We pretty much had the zoo to ourselves. We went to the petting zoo. Trace would not touch the horses. It might have had something to do with my saying, "Don't put your fingers near their mouths or they might bite your fingers." Funny how he doesn't talk much but apparently understands a lot. Then we went to the reptile house and the Komodo Dragons. Jack was so excited in the reptile house he ran screaming "Mom! Look at this!" from window to window. I just could not keep pace with him. As we left I pointed out the sign that said, "No tapping on the glass or yelling in the Herpetarium." Jack said, "I did not read that sign, Mom." You've got to love Jack. He's so enthustic and emphatic about everything. And he's so handsome.
