Happy Birthday to the Navy! Clint invited Congressman Jim Hansen to speak. He was fantastic and we really enjoyed the evening with him and his wife Anne. He was in congress for 20 years, under four different Presidents. His favorite, hands down was Reagan. He said that Obama was a junior senator on his Intelligence Committee and Hansen hardly noticed him. He doubted Obama would win the election, but Obama can give a good speech. Speaking of good speeches, Hansen's was fabulous. He credited his service in the Navy for turning him from a 1.9 college freshman into an ambitious student and public servant.
