One of my favorite things about Farmington, is a bird refuge that is just a mile away. It makes my early morning run breathtaking. I've seen blue herons, a muskrat, yellow-winged blackbirds, red breasted blackbirds, loons and many birds I cannot identify.
These are all Blue Heron.
I don't have a good camera, so I'll share pictures others have taken. First, from our neighbor Spencer Bawden. This one is called "Fire and Ice"
