Hanging with the Nielsens and Sandullis!
Clint was in charge of the fire barrells. He did it up slick, as he does. :)
The next day Trace was feigning sick and stayed home from school. So he and I went to help Clint clean up. He asked me to dump the ashes in the dumpster, which I dutifully did and soon we had a problem on our hands! I ran up the hill to the stake center and filled a waste basket with water and dumped it on the fire a couple of times, but the smoke and flames just kept getting angrier. So I drove home to get several of our five gallon water jugs.
By the time I got back the neighbors had called 911 and the fire department was there. They were super cool to Trace and let him aim the hose and climb into the fire truck. Lesson? Always play hooky when you can!
