25 Random Facts about Sarah

I did this for facebook (the heroin that's been keeping me from real life for the past 2 weeks). If you are on facebook, know that I'm totally technically challenged and I was unable to "tag" 25 people because it kept on bumping me off. If you are reading this I guarantee you are one of the people I wanted to tag! So here are my 25 random facts about me.
1. I am the 8th of 12 children.
2. I have 2 Navajo brothers.
3.When I was 7, my family was traveling through Alaska when my brother LEO dared me to pull the fire alarm in a building. I did and my family made a hasty exit.
4. My first crush was Mark Spitz; second: Donny Osmond.
5. I grew up on 30 acres of weeds and trees. I spent years exploring and getting sticky burrs on my clothing, rusty nails in my feet, and in the winter, frozen fingers and toes. It was awesome.
6. In fourth grade I was in my first play--my grandma’s play “Educated Heart.” I played “Effie”, my cousin, Will Swenson, was my little brother “Leaky.” He’s now acting on Broadway and in movies. Me, I’m terrified of the thought of getting back on stage as it’s been so many years!
7. In High School I ran track, cross country, was the lead in the musical, endured choir and bombed at Debate.
8. I have a widow’s peak.
9. In College I spent 6 months studying abroad in London.
10. One month of that time was spent on the Continent and 11 days in Israel.
11. My famous regret of the trip was deciding NOT to go see the Berlin Wall as I was short on cash. I said, “It will always be there.” Two weeks later, it came down.
12. But my biggest regret of the trip was missing Jenny and Treg Julander’s wedding by two days.
13. One of my most vivid memories was seeing my husband, Clint, for the first time. He was dressed in his Naval Academy summer white uniform. Whoo-eee!
14. I was pen pals with my husband for 3.5 years before our first date.
15. Clint used to complain to me how hard it was to find a girl who’d be willing to sit on the end of a dock for 10 months at a time. I said, “Yeah. Good luck with that.”
16. My second most vivid memory was seeing Clint for the second time—3.5 years after #13. He’d driven across the country to surprise me and ask me for a date.
17. I’ve given birth to five babies and lost one (our daughter at 22 months).
18. I’ve lived in Huntsville (UT), Provo, London, Palo Alto, Columbus, Pensacola, San Diego, Guam, Lexington Park (MD) and Memphis!
19. Both of my ear drums have burst at least 20 times. I had major reconstructive surgery on my left ear. I try not to sneeze hard.
20. One of my favorite things is seeing all four of my boys in a clump. It makes me feel so rich.
21. I like to mountain bike, but it scares me silly. I’m uncoordinated and I’ve had some crashes that have left me with full-body bruises. So, I’m pretty much terrified the whole time. It just adds to the thrill of accomplishment every time I make it home in one piece.
22. I like to “bum kick” my boys up the stairs. They love it and think it’s hilarious.
23. Sometimes my babies are so cute I have a cuteness conniption fit and my jaw locks up for hours.
24. I have a dream of living in Utah near my family and old friends.
25. I have old lady legs (veins amundo). They can run really fast. They are just not pretty.

This was fun to get to know you better.
Some of my reactions:
I can't believe your eardrums have burst 20 times! And how sad it is that you have to be careful when sneezing. I love to sneeze as forcefully as possible.

I love the fire alarm story. Were there any repercussions from that?

I think it's funny that you bum kick your boys. And funnier that they like it.

So far 3RD MAW, I will get a squadron assignment when I get down there. You know anyone there/which squadrons are better than the others, etc. Any advice?
