Up on the Roof

This is why it's handy to have a husband who is equipped. Memphis' last wind storm removed shingles from our roof in about a dozen places. Clint got up there on a ladder and quickly realized he could only get at one of the areas safely because of the steep pitch of the roof. I applauded his caution. (He does tend to be fairly risk-averse.) We're getting older and wiser and we really didn't want to be part of the next Navy Safety Standdown: the annual training when Navy units meet to hear about all the stupid sailor tricks/Darwin-award-type behaviors that have landed sailors in the ER or grave over the past year. So Clint pulled out his climbing rope and harness, tied onto a tree in our front yard, and put it up and over the roof to get the job done. Here's some great bum shots of Clint.

Good to know. Jeff's a big rock climber (as in an enthusiast, not a climber of large rocks), and it's nice to know it has practical as well as entertainment applications.

I wouldn't call him risk adverse...I'd call him ...INTELLIGENT! Way to be smart and safe brutha!

A lot of people are out of work. I bet you could have found a dozen people who would have done it for pennies. Of course, then Sarah wouldn't have all those nice bum shots of you on her screen saver. Or they would have been someone else's buns.
